Germany Program for Afghans
Germany offers a completely new program to support at-risk Afghans and provide them with a unique immigration program. The country is intending to support 1000 at-risk Afghans through this immigration program to migrate to the country. Germany will bring 100 at-risk Afghans to the country monthly. Who is eligible to apply for the German Program for Afghans?
The program targets the following groups:
- At-risk Afghans due to the fact that they are working for women’s rights and human rights.
- Journalists
- Scientists
- Political activists
- Judges
- Tutors
- Those who are persecuted for their gender, sexual orientation, or religion.
Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said the new humanitarian resettlement program is willing to give those persecuted by the Taliban “a bit of home and the chance of a free, self-determined and secure life.”
She acknowledged that it would be a “mammoth task” to implement the program, including safely getting applicants from Afghanistan to Germany.
“But we won’t let up,” she said.

A civil society group that has received approval from the Geman Government should nominate Applicants.
