Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Mid-Term Review Process Coordination
  • Collaborate with the UNDP Mid-Term Review Inter-Bureau Task Team and relevant units to coordinate the review process, ensuring timely and efficient execution of all activities.
  • Maintain an overview and connect the dots between the mid-term review of the Integrated Resources Plan/Institutional Budget and the 2023 UNDP Annual Report
  • Maintain the work plan for the mid-term review process, clearly outlining key milestones, deliverables, and responsible parties.
  • Identify potential synergies and collaboration opportunities with other ongoing reviews or evaluations within the UN system to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the mid-term review.

Formulate Stakeholder Engagement Strategy

  • Develop an engagement strategy to ensure effective and inclusive participation of member states, the UNDP Executive Board, UN Agencies, and other key stakeholders in the mid-term review process.
  • Prepare and organize informal consultations with the Executive Board, workshops, and meetings to gather inputs and feedback from stakeholders, ensuring their perspectives are appropriately considered in the review.
  • Facilitate communication and information sharing with stakeholders, keeping them informed about the review process, key findings, and recommendations.

Providing substantive inputs in all matters related to the Mid-Term Review 

  • Support analysis and review of relevant documents, reports, and data related to the implementation of the UNDP 2022-2025 Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Mid-Term Review Team to prepare high-quality reports and presentations summarizing the key findings, lessons learned, and recommendations from the review process.

The incumbent performs other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities: Oversees 2 IP and 1 GS staff members.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:
  • Advanced university degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science or any academic field related to international relations or management is required.
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or any other related field in international relations or management in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of Master’s degree.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 7 years with Master’s Degree or 9 years with Bachelor’s Degree of relevant professional experience in UNDP coordinating complex processes involving multiple stakeholders and engaging with member states.
  • Fluency in the English language, both oral and written is required.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of UNDP’s mandate and strategic priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to facilitate dialogue and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in working with the Executive Board(s) is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office tools.

Language

  • Fluency in the English language, both oral and written is required.
  • Working knowledge of another UN language is highly desirable.
