Task description
OCHA’s regional office for West and Central Africa in Senegal is looking for 2 online volunteers to help us translate documents on data accountability/responsible data management in humanitarian action from English towards French. To this end, online volunteers are asked to translate: – A 44-page document – 7 technical documents (+/- 5 pages per document) on data protection – Ensure that the translation is aligned with existing guidelines on accountability at the IASC level – Ensure that the translation is concise, complies with our communications guidelines and tailored to the intended audience. Selected online volunteers will receive the document in the original language and receive advice on the target audience as well as other documents to which the translation should be aligned.

Requirements
Required experience
Applicants must be native French speakers and fluent in English. Familiarity with technical terms relating to liability or data protection will be considered an advantage. Previous translation experience is considered an asset. A translation of a paragraph will be requested as part of the selection process.
