To support the work of the UNDP Peru Accelerator Laboratory, it is necessary to hire a communicator with fluent command of spoken and written English. It will be under the supervision of the Head of Solutions Mapping and, on the other hand, must ensure alignment with the communication strategies of the country office. The communicator will carry out the following tasks: ● Prepare the communication plan for the Acceleration Laboratory, aligned with the strategic communication plan of UNDP Peru, which includes objectives and goals, as well as the communication of the activities and achievements of the Laboratory. . ● Support Acceleration Lab positioning activities and identify new trends that can potentially impact positioning efforts. ● Support the “working outloud” activities of the Acceleration Laboratory: systematize the learning during its first three years (2020-2023) and the knowledge of the Laboratory through blog posts, reports, among other means. ● Together with the Acceleration Laboratory team, support field work, data collection, report writing, among other knowledge transfer materials. EXPECTED RESULTS As an active member of the UNDP team, you will provide efficient, timely, attentive, customer-friendly and quality support to UNDP and its beneficiaries in the fulfillment of their functions, including: ● Co-creating with the team a plan of strategic communication with objectives and goals, including those established by the Accelerator Labs Global Network. ● Develop the communication pieces proposed in the plan. Responsible for writing and translating texts as well as coordinating the development of graphic pieces. ● Coordinate with the country office communications team to ensure that publications, reports or audiovisual products follow all appropriate UNDP guidelines, as well as expedite the use of available communications resources. ● Write at least 3 blogs and texts for social networks, presentations and reports, coordinating the design and production of audiovisual products. ● Together with the communications team of the country office, coordinate work with the mass media, specialized, alternative and community media in order to position the messages, activities and results of the Acceleration Laboratory. ● Supervise the timely delivery of communication products requested by the Laboratory team. ● Keep the communication content of the Acceleration Laboratory organized and updated (e.g. blogposts, publications, reports, etc.).

Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
3 years of experience in conceptualization, development and dissemination of communication and content pieces. ● Design thinking and/or Service design and/or Human Centered Design and/or Scrum or other agile methodologies course. ● Have at least 2 years of experience in writing, editing texts and coordinating the preparation of communication pieces. ● Have at least 1 year of experience in innovation processes or social innovation projects or social entrepreneurship. ● Accuracy and professionalism in the production and editing of documents; ● At least 1 experience in institutional communication and dissemination issues. Work experience related to social and environmental issues will be considered an added value. ● Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work in an inclusive and collaborative manner, ideally with people from the grassroots community, religious and gender organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with development communications tools and approaches; ● Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team; ● Strong general computer skills, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet;
