Task description
Within the framework of the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Piura Sub-Office Coordinator or his designated representative, the UN Volunteer will carry out the following tasks: • Support the IOM Piura Sub-Office with liaison in Trujillo in the implementation of education, social cohesion and economic integration activities, as well as any other activity related to the development of projects in these areas in the Sub-Office. • Assist with the collection of daily information on the assistance provided by IOM and the work carried out in the field. • Provide assistance to migrants and refugees in vulnerable situations, through in-kind items, services and the different modalities of humanitarian assistance planned by the office. • Strengthen the education, social cohesion and economic integration response of the Sub-Office at the Mobile Assistance and Orientation Points. • Support in the coordination of the Assistance and Orientation Points (PAO) for their correct implementation and operation. • Support the IOM Piura Sub-Office with a link in Trujillo with any other activity related to the development of projects in these areas in the Sub-Office. Expected Results: As an active member of the IOM team, you will provide efficient, timely, attentive, customer-friendly and quality support to IOM and its beneficiaries in the fulfillment of their functions, including: • Age, gender perspective and diversity is applied in a systematic, integrated and documented manner in all activities throughout the assignment • A final report on the achievements achieved through development volunteering during the assignment, such as reporting on the number of volunteers mobilized, the activities in which they have participated and the capacities developed

Requirements
Required experience
3 years of experience in general. • Experience in projects and/or care for vulnerable populations with a focus on integration is highly desirable. • Desirable experience in international cooperation projects with intergovernmental and governmental counterparts. • Experience as part of teams in humanitarian emergency operations will be valued. • Experience in assisting migrants and refugees will be valued. • Motivated to contribute to peace and development and to serve others; • Good interpersonal skills, communication and networking skills; • Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team; • Flexible and open to learning and new experiences; • Respect for diversity and ability to adapt to other cultures, environments and living conditions; • Previous volunteer experiences and/or experiences from other cultures (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internships) are highly valued; • Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social networks, and others).
