Professor

Under the direct supervision of the Head of Programs at Radio Okapi, the Consultant Professor will assume the following roles and responsibilities:

• Prepare the forecast for the week of the show;
• Respond to the concerns of children, parents, listeners and Internet users;
• Prepare, in collaboration with stakeholders, learning manuals and programs according to the project objectives;
• Address psychological aspects and enrich the show’s interventions;
• Participate in daily preparation and debriefing meetings and contribute creatively with ideas to further improve current programs;
• Be constantly vigilant and attentive to engage listeners live;
• Follow the show’s Facebook page;

• A high school diploma is required,
•  A bachelor’s degree in one of the fields such as teaching, communication or other relevant fields will be considered an asset and may replace 3 years of required experience. 

Experience:

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in the education/teaching field is required.
• Experience in processing and broadcasting educational information on radio is desirable.
• Having experience in Teaching, Communication, or other relevant fields is desirable.
• Professional experience with the United Nations, other international organizations or NGOs is desirable.
• Ability to work independently is required.

Language:

• Have a perfect command of French (read, spoken and written);
• Knowledge of English is a considerable asset.
