JOB DESCRIPITON
The duties for Associate Programme Officer at UNHCR are :
- Analysis, produce, and edit written content for different communications materials and target audiences, assuring their timely dissemination by leveraging a range of tactics and UNHCR-compliant tools and platforms.
- Proofread all transmissions materials before their publication.
- Deliver written communications support to the GMIS teams, including the Greening and Sustainability,
- Journey, Fleet, and Global Infrastructure Teams.
Offer editing guidance and provide input to GMIS colleagues to ensure the proposed content and transmission materials reach maximum impact. - Liaise as necessary between GMIS, Internal Communications, and the Global Communications Service to provide our content is relevant and accurate for the targeted audiences.
- Fund the implementation of the DFAM/GMIS internal communication strategy in line with the Global
- Internal Communications Strategy and UNHCR brand policies through the creation of compelling written content.
- Regularly feed ideas for communications initiatives and monitor news and popular trends to insert GMIS’s messaging into ongoing conversations and events, identifying key moments for proactive communications.
- Carry creativity to GMIS communications and boost their visibility on UNHCR internal channels or external channels, if applicable, while maintaining UNHCR/GMIS’s brand voice and tone.
- Diagnose briefs, strategic and creative direction and turn them into engaging and persuasive copy concepts.
- Partake in discussions on GMIS projects to develop a wide range of communications materials, such as intranet articles, newsletters, stories, reports, video scripts, infographics, announcements, and social media posts, among others.
- Supply similar support to other sections, especially in reporting and writing.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements for Associate Programme Officer at UNHCR are :
- University degree or postgraduate diploma in communications, journalism, international relations, political science, public information, media, marketing, advertising, or appropriate domains.

- Proven track record of writing and adjusting content for different audiences and channels, including digital.
