The World Food Program (WFP) is the top humanitarian agency that provides food aid in dire situations and collaborates with locals to boost nutrition and resilience. The United Nations created it in 1961 to aid in reducing global hunger. 80 nations are home to WFP offices, which have its main headquarters in Rome. The biggest humanitarian organization in the world, it is also the main supplier of school meals. In order to promote nutrition initiatives, policies, and programs, such as school meals and food fortification, WFP collaborates with governments, other UN agencies, NGOs, and the corporate sector.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Contribute to the performance of plans and policies by setting clear goals; coordinate processes for budget and programming activities in subordination with WFP and serviceable strategies.
2. Review budgets for accuracy, propriety, cost containment/effectiveness and completeness in line with available guidelines, flagging any flaws and providing comprehensive feedback to the main stakeholders as needed.
3. Review and free budgets in WFP’s corporate systems ensuring that all budget-supporting documents are available, and address welcomed comments and recommendations before relevant resource data is recorded in internal systems for reference.
4. Support the practice of funding proposals through donor trend analysis against operational shortfalls, proposing fund prioritization opportunities by activity and modality as necessary.
5. Analyze CSPs/RBPs closure activities, ensuring actions are taken for the receiving of resources transfers and the timely onset and closures of activities.
Pipeline Management
6. Revisit and analyze commodity pipeline requirements including Advance Financing requests in collaboration with stakeholders at the working level to ensure timely shortfall coverage and efficient utilization of contributions.
7. Review monthly channels, participate in meetings and provide feedback to the CO/RB teams on resource allocations and corporate stock replenishments to maximize operational effectiveness, escalating based on severity of pipeline shortfalls and using relevant channel management tools.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced university degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, Economics or other appropriate field.
Other professional training in project management, statistical analysis and/or operational planning and management is desirable. - Fluency (level C) in the English language. Medium knowledge (level B) of a second official UN language: Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese (a WFP working language).
- Aimed :Experience committing analytics of medium complexity and presenting the information to meet various audience needs.
- Experience training , managing, and reporting on operational budgets.
- Experience in laboring with large datasets, extracting information from them in an easy to interpret manner.
- A demonstrated and pleasing arrangement of information and financial systems and how those support the implementation of operations.
