Fulbright Foreign Student Program in the USA 2023 Requirments

  • The applicant must have earned a U.S. bachelor’s degree equivalent from an accredited Indian university with at least a 55% grade point average.
  • Candidates must hold a four-year bachelor’s degree, a completed master’s degree, or, if the bachelor’s degree is shorter than four years, a full-time postgraduate diploma from an accredited Indian university.
  • By the deadline for applications, candidates must have at least three years of full-time, professionally-paying work experience related to the desired subject of study.
  • Candidates must to have a track record of civic engagement and leadership.
  • Candidates must not be currently enrolled in a U.S. degree program or have another degree from a U.S. university.
  • If employed, carefully adhere to the employer’s endorsement instructions.
  • Get, if necessary, the employer’s endorsement on the FNMasters Employer’s Endorsement Form from the relevant administrative body.
  • The employer must state that leave will be given for the duration of the fellowship.

Advantages of the Scholarship

Support for obtaining a J-1 visa, round-trip economy class air travel from the fellow’s city to the host institution in the United States, funding for tuition and fees, living expenses, and accident and sickness insurance in accordance with U.S. Government regulations are all included in the fellowship.
