JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties Gender Equality Diversity Director at IRC are:
- Design and drive the implementation of the regional GEDI Action Plan in collaboration with regional and country leadership and functional partner this include:
- Determine representation and gender equality and inclusion gaps for the region and develop timely goals and initiatives to address them.
- Determine Country and regional programmatic direction to strengthen transformative programming and client responsiveness from a GEDI perspective.
- Generating and implementing a monitoring and evaluation/accountability framework to measure progress against targets set out in the regional action plan.
- Developing and driving the regional GEDI Action Plan budget, drawing on global, regional and GEDI funds.
- Staff Meeting and support to employee groups
- Marshal and resource Employee Groups and community of practice as agents of change in the cultural transformation required for an inclusive, enabling work environment.
- Encounter with peers to coordinate and share learning across the 6 Regional GEDI Working Groups.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements Gender Equality Diversity Director at IRC are:
- Graduate degree or years in additional work background
- 6+ years of related background that includes:
- Direct background leading and influencing organizational partners to embrace and adopt gender equality diversity, and inclusion methods as core to all programs and activities.
- Background leading and supporting change management to embed an inclusive work culture.
- At least 2 years in the humanitarian and/or international growth sector.
- At least 2 years of background in one or more countries in the Middle East and North Africa context (Lybia, Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen )
- Background in crafting and enforcing regional and sub regional strategies according to organizational priorities, taking into account a variety of country contexts.
