ABOUT ORGANISATION

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian helps, relief, and improvement non-governmental organization. It was founded in 1933 as the International Relief Association and altered its name in 1942 after amalgamating with the alike Emergency Rescue Committee. The IRC answers to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and assists people to survive and rebuild their lives by restoring health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to mankind. The organization provides assistance in different areas such as primary health care, reproductive health care, environmental health, child survival, blindness treatment and prevention, and assistance for victims of sexual violence. The IRC has a high rating for accountability and finance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  •    Assure that grants or contracts are well distributed and program/support teams are fully informed of relevant donor compliance rules and IRC procedures
  •  Control reporting to ensure timely delivery of high-quality information which meet donor and IRC requirements, with support program managers/ coordinators
  •   Work with finance to ensure the timely suggestion of high-quality financial reports  and relevant requests for funds
  •  Coordinate and support regular monitoring of grants, using appropriate grant management tools and through facilitation and support of traditional and timely Grant Review, Opening and Closing Meetings and BVA Meetings
  •   Aid program staff in grant revisions, cost extensions, no-cost extensions, funding realignments, and other as required
  •    Ensure quality details management related to grants by overseeing the regular maintenance of grant files, reporting calendars, and updating of interior IRC documentation and Grants Unit tools
  •    Maintain a comprehensive information management and filing system that ensures all donor contractual documents, reports, key resemblances , etc. are appropriately filed in up-to-date and consistent soft and hard libraries available as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  •          University Degree in the appropriate domain.
  •          Four years of appropriate experience, including staff capacity growth and team building experience.
  •          Knowledge and knowledge of international humanitarian or development programming is preferred.
  •          Experienced fluency in English, including strong writing and editing skills.  Fluency in Arabic or Kurdish strongly preferred.
  •          Strong coordination and task administration skills.
  •          Competent in Windows, MS Office programs, emails, and relevant databases.
  •          Works well in and encourages teamwork, flexible and able to handle pressure well.
  •          Good coping techniques in a stressful and emergency situation, calmness is a requirement
