In order to promote nutrition initiatives, policies, and programs, such as school meals and food fortification, WFP collaborates with governments, other UN agencies, NGOs, and the corporate sector.
TASKS
The duties for Internship at WFP Mozambique are:
- Help and provide support on nutrition for small holder farmers involved in WFP activities.
- Manage the implementation of various WFP nutrition specific and sensitive programs and interventions ensuring alignment with relevant national programme policies and guidelines and WFP’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Aid at the field office level the coordination and management of partnerships with implementing partners, subnational stakeholders, and private sector.
- Perform supervision and monitoring visits to nutrition specific and sensitive interventions, using appropriate tools for the effect.
- Assure synergies and complementarities between WFP nutrition programs and interventions and with other WFP programs or other counterpart’s programs and interventions.
- Compile and study project monitoring in terms of nutrition data and prepare project reports ensuring that projects adhere to corporate standards and quality control.
- Provide timely feedback on project/program progress, issues and problems to the Head of Sub office and Nutrition Develop, manage and maintain a database of all key information related to farmers engaged.
- Aid regularly reporting progress of activities to the Country office.
- Support the growth of reporting and communications materials focusing on nutrition.
- Perform other duties as demanded.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements for Internship at WFP Mozambique are:
- Currently enlisted and have attended University courses in the last 12 months inclusive of having completed at least two years of graduate studies or have lately graduated in the last 6 months in nutrition, public health, or equivalent areas of studies.
- Mastership in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Outstanding command of Portuguese is required.
- Working knowledge of English would be an advantage.
