In order to promote nutrition initiatives, policies, and programs, such as school meals and food fortification, WFP collaborates with governments, other UN agencies, NGOs, and the corporate sector.
TASKS
The duties for Internship – Programme at WFP Mozambique are :
- Provide help on financial inclusion for small holder farmers under the integrated climate risk management approach.
- Keep technically and operationally the saving and credit components, including working closely to identify suitable partner financial institutions.
- Aid at the field office level the coordination and management of partnerships with implementing partners, subnational stakeholders, and private sector.
- Provide technical backing to service providers on financial literacy (including, but not only on index-insurance to farmers)
- Build a network and improve the capacity of key financial inclusion stakeholders, bringing together stakeholders at local level from public and private sector.
- Assure the documentation of saving and credit components and contribute to the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for relevant stakeholders.
- Develop, oversee and maintain a database of all key information related to farmers engaged.
- Aid regularly reporting progress of activities to the Country office.
- Support the growth of reporting and communications materials focusing on integrated climate risk administration and financial services components.
- Perform other duties as demanded.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements for Internship – Programme at WFP Mozambique are :
- Currently enlisted and have attended University courses in the last 12 months inclusive of having completed at least two years of graduate studies or have recently graduated in the last 6 months in Social sciences, Finance, Economics, Development, or comparable areas of studies.
- Mastery in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Outstanding command of Portuguese is required.
- Working knowledge of English would be an advantage.
