ABOUT FAO

TASKS
The duties for National wildlife management specialist are:
- Develop the work plan for the performance of the national field survey to identified wildlife captive facilities in Viet Nam;
- Develop detailed field survey methodology and consultation with the Viet Nam CITES Management Authority (CITES MA), International Cooperation Department (ICD) Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and other relevant SAFE project stakeholders;
- Explain the work plan and field survey plan at the National Advisory Committee (NAC) Meeting for reference and approval;
- Conduct training for partners of the survey team;
- Perform the surveys according to the workplan agreed between the stakeholders;
- Study the data obtained from the survey and draft technical report;
- Partake and present results;
- Prepare final specialized report;
- Undertake other duties as demanded.

QUALIFICATIONS
The requirements for National wildlife management specialist are:
- Master’s degree in wildlife conservation and management or connected major;
- At least ten years of appropriate working background in collection and analysis of wildlife management information;
- Outstanding writing skills in both English and Vietnamese;
- National of Viet Nam or a legal citizen in the country.
