About NGO Jobs in USA-Grant Management & Compliance Coordinator

In order to maintain a diverse portfolio of grants in the Atlanta offices while assisting post-award grant management activities, such as compliance with donor/grant requirements, the Grant Management & Compliance Coordinator for the IRC in Atlanta will collaborate with the Deputy Director, Post-Award Grant Management & Compliance. The organization’s strategic objectives and overall company development are supported by this position.

Responsibilities of the NGO Jobs in USA-Grant Management & Compliance Coordinator

  • Support the coordination of grant opening, mid-cycle, and grant closing meetings for every funded opportunity with support of the Deputy Director – Post-Award Grant Management & Compliance, Deputy Directors for Programming in Atlanta, Finance, and programmatic staff.
  • Assist with award modifications, including budget and scope modifications, extensions and amendments.
  • Support the effective maintenance of contract and grant files for each funded program with consistent documentation standards.
  • Support grant budget versus actual meetings with appropriate deputies and program managers; work closely with finance and program teams to ensure grant spending is on target.
  • Work closely with program managers and staff, local finance and IRC headquarters staff to ensure timely submission of narrative and financial invoices and reports to public and private donors.
  • Support grant and sub-award compliance with IRC and local, state, and federal donor/funder requirements.
  • Act as the compliance focal point by providing guidance and advice on the processing/implementing of new and ongoing awards, IRC internal policies and donor rules and regulations.
  • Support program managers with developing internal quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes and activities; ensure program managers/supervisors are conducting periodic, internal QA/QC checks.
  • Support subaward processes and compliance activities in alignment with IRC’s Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System (PEERS), act as partnership focal point with the support of the Post-Award Grant Management & Compliance Coordinators.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the IRC.
  • Ensure monitoring of grant deliverables utilizing tracking systems and tools and regularly update the senior leadership team with accurate data.
  • Support offices to be “audit ready” at all times; support program teams in preparation for announced audits/monitoring from local, state, federal funders/donors.
  • Support program managers/supervisors with the development and implementation of action plans to address compliance related findings.
  • Work with relevant teams to support the collection of programmatic data to support strategic initiatives and inform and improve proposal development, program quality, program design and donor reporting.
  • Provide training and support to program or other staff related to program design, donor compliance, partnership and sub-award processes, and IRC regulations.
  • Participate in IRC Communities of Practice and other networking and professional development opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the NGO Jobs in USA-Grant Management & Compliance Coordinator

Education:

  • A strong bonus is an undergraduate degree with certification or ongoing monitoring, evaluation, compliance, and/or public administration training.

Experience:

  • a minimum of two (2) years of relevant analytical experience in the areas of planning, budgeting, personnel management, and program assessment.
  • understanding of and practical expertise with needs analysis, monitoring, and evaluation.
