JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Enforce procurement related strategies in accordance with UN Women rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Assure compliance of procurement activities with UN Women rules, regulations, policies and strategies; implement effective inner control, proper functioning of a client-orient procurement management system, and business process mapping.
2. Organize procurement processes for the Regional Office and Project Offices
- Coalition and finalize procurement plans for programmes/projects and monitor their implementation;
- Review procurement requests and start procurement procedures for office and projects equipment, supplies and services in the RO and Project Offices;
3. Enforce sourcing strategy and e-procurement tools.
- Generate and update the rosters of suppliers, and support implementation of supplier selection and evaluation;
4. Simplify knowledge-building and knowledge sharing
- Grow and support the development of training materials, webinars and other education materials;
- Arrange trainings on Procurement.
- Synthesize studies learnt and best practices;
- Sound contributions to knowledge networks and neighborhoods of practice;

QUALIFICATIONS
- Fulfillment of secondary education is a requirement;
- Technical training in Procurement; or a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration or a corresponding field is an asset;
- Procurement Certificate from an internationally recognized provider such as CIPS (level 3) is an asset;
- Readiness to take UN Women internal procurement certifications is required.
- At least 7 years of progressively accountable experience in procurement at national or international level;
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc);
- Background in handling of web-based management systems, such as Atlas
- Background in e-Procurement system is an advantage;
- Work background in the UN or any international development organization is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Thai is a requirement;
- Working understanding of another official UN language is an asset.
