The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is a UN agency that implements infrastructure and procurement projects for the UN System, international financial institutions, governments, and another partners over the world. UNOPS offers implementation, advisory, and transactional services in its five core areas of expertise.. It supply projects in more than 80 countries worldwide, with a portfolio of $3.4 billion in 2021. UNOPS often works in post-disaster and peace and security settings, improving countries, and economies in transition. UNOPS is a member of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group and works closely with other UN entities such as the UNDP, the DPO, and the World Bank.


Coordination with UNSMIL Sections for support services:

  • Liaise and correspond with UNSMIL sections for the support services needed for the UNMAS programme in Libya, including facilities management, assets, administration, logistics and administration – including adherence related to Annex II of Secretariat-UNOPS MoU

Logistics and Aid Management:

  • Assure all assets are recorded on the WASP asset management system and are managed, disposed and kept as per the guidance from Chief Mine Action Programme and HPU


  • Help in the organization of meetings, conferences, visits, etc, as needed
  • Aid in all domestic and international bookings, including checking Travel Authorisations and Travel Expense Claims, travel registration, processing travel entitlements, assistance with visa requirements, flight and hotel bookings, and direction of personal freight.


  • Assure full compliance of procurement activities with UNOPS Procurement Manual, Financial Rules and Regulations (FRR), appropriate Organizational Directives, and Administrative Instructions.


  • Help in planning, expenditure tracking, and audit of financial resources, in agreement with UNOPS rules and regulations for the Regular Budget and Financial Agreements (FA).

  • Master’s degree or equivalent with two (2) years of appropriate background.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or comparable with four (4) years of relevant experience.
  • Appropriate background is defined as experience in at least two of the following areas: procurement, finance, logistics, asset management, and administration.
  • Working background with the United Nations or international organisations is desirable.
  • Background in use of Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software system or similar is desirable.
  • Understanding of UN/UNOPS rules and regulations is desirable.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office particularly Word and Excel is requirement.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English languages is requirement (speaking, writing and reading).
  • Understanding of another official UNOPS language is an asset.
