- Help in responding to basic queries about technology and systems to support the correct application of technology.
- Aid in receiving and inspecting all incoming assets and report discrepancies in IT materials inventory to senior colleagues to ensure materials are effectively tracked.
- Help in performing basic beta testing and support the roll out of new versions of centrally supported software to ensure software is operational for WFP staff.
- Aid in ensuring information is up to date and accurate within inventories, databases, websites, and archives in order to support senior officers in managing these systems.
- With direction from senior colleagues, assist in collating information to be included in standard material such as training documentation and web content, to contribute to the availability of information about services and products.
- Help in following up set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met.

Qualifications of UN jobs in South Sudan – IT Operations Assistant:
- An undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related disciplines from acknowledged /accredited institutions. Academic qualifications must have been obtained within the last year or current year with an academic average score of 70% and above (Second class upper and above).
- Professional in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word
- Must be a citizen of South Sudan
- Articulate in English and the local language of the duty station
- Fit to travel and work at the duty station.
