Tasks of UN jobs in USA – Nutrition of School-age Children and Adolescents Consultancy :
- Coordinate and arrange meetings on school and adolescent nutrition: This will include managing all preparations (logistics) for a technical meeting on the nutrition of school-age children and adolescents with UNICEF staff members from regions and countries.
- Help the development of resources and database SACA countries: This will focus on mapping resources that have been developed to support programs and advocacy on the prevention of malnutrition among school-age children and adolescents.
- Develop knowledge dissemination platform and resources: The consultant is expected to prepare a plan for funding the dissemination of knowledge products and tools on improving diets, services, and practices of school-age children and adolescents.
- Develop tools to evaluate LSFF work in four regions: Large Scale Food Fortification is a key strategy to improve the diets of children and adolescents. The consultant is expected to identify the key regional economic commissions (RECs) in four regions (ESARO, WCARO, ROSA, and EAPRO) carry out an assessment of LSFF initiatives and interact with partners; identify and summarize the coordination mechanisms, gather info on regional legislations and frameworks adopted by RECs, and consolidate the list and findings.
- Aid meeting logistics, desk review, and collection of resources on nutrition metrics: The consultant will extend communication and coordination support to the nutrition metrics Technical Advisory Group, the Secretariat, and the Working Group, as well as maintain the resource bank for the nutrition metrics.

Qualifications of UN jobs in USA – Nutrition of School-age Children and Adolescents Consultancy :
- Advance University Degree in Public Health Nutrition, Public Policy, Nutrition, and Dietetics
- Knowledge and proficiency in other UN languages will be an asset
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including scientific analysis
- At least 3 years of professional background in public health nutrition
- Capability to monitor progress with projects and reporting
- Acquaintance with legal language, terminologies, and implications of policy frameworks on children’s nutrition and well-being
