II. ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT UN Women in Mexico, in line with national priorities and international and regional instruments for the protection and defense of women’s human rights, mainly the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW, for its acronym) in English), as well as with the recommendations generated by the bodies in charge of its oversight, works to achieve substantive equality between men and women in all aspects of life, focusing on five priority areas:
Reporting to the Country Office Representative, and in close contact with the National Program Officers and the Head of Operations, the Program Management Support Professional will serve as a member of the Representation team, working with and providing support. to the Programs and Operations areas in the development, implementation and monitoring of effective programs consistent with UN Women rules and regulations. In addition, the Program Management Support Professional will provide support to the Country Office Representative in terms of organizational integrity and coherence, with the objective of guaranteeing: i) effective support systems for the execution and growth of the programs. programs; ii) accountability regarding the values and principles of the organization; and iii) implementation of new tools/methods that facilitate program monitoring and accountability. To achieve the above, the Program Management Support Professional will provide assistance to the Program, Operations and Monitoring and Evaluation teams, in the coordination and exchange of information between teams and/or with other United Nations agencies. Required Skills and Experience | |
SAW. Hiring Qualifications Education • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Law, Political Science or similar. • Having postgraduate studies in development, human rights, gender or other similar fields will be considered an advantage. Experience • Minimum of three years of relevant experience at a national and/or international level in project/program formulation and management. • Previous experience in projects related to gender equality and/or human rights; • A project/program management certification would be an added advantage. Language Requirements • Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
