ABOUT ORGANIZATION
The World Food Program (WFP) is the top humanitarian agency that provides food aid in dire situations and collaborates with locals to boost nutrition and resilience. The United Nations created it in 1961 to aid in reducing global hunger. 80 nations are home to WFP offices, which have its main headquarters in Rome. The biggest humanitarian organization in the world, it is also the main supplier of school meals. In order to promote nutrition initiatives, policies, and programs, such as school meals and food fortification, WFP collaborates with governments, other UN agencies, NGOs, and the corporate sector.
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Aid in planning of the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification exercise – eg: help to develop questionnaire tools, support documentation and appropriate administrative actions, coordinate with field offices (in Bokhtar, Khujand, Garm and Khorog) etc.
• Aid with doing unofficial translations of documents, letters etc. (English-Tajik-Russian).
• Help the activities of the GIS team – eg: support to update programme connected maps, data cleaning, preparing spreadsheets for data visualization etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Presently registered in an undergraduate/graduate programme from a recognized university, have completed at least two years of the programme and attended classes in the past 12 months; OR
- Newly graduated from an undergraduate/graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a identified university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university; OR
- Currently enlisted in a graduate programme (e.g. Master’s degree) at a recognized university and have attended classes in the past 12 months;
- Understanding of how to diagnose , interpret and visualize data using SPSS, Tableau, PowerBI, ArcGIS or similar tools.
- Command in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work in a team and multitask as needed.
- Fully committed and motivated to attain the aims of the UN World Food Programme.
- Experience on data analysis, visualizing and reporting utilizing SPSS, Tableau, PowerBI or similar tools as well as creating/updating maps using ArcGIS or alike tools would be an advantage.
- Necessary fluency (level C) in oral and written English;
- Necessary fluency (level C) in oral and written Tajik or Russian; fluency in both is an advantage;
