ABOUT ORGANIZATION
UNICEF, or the United Nations Children’s Fund, is an agency of the United Nations that donate humanitarian and developmental support to children over the world. It was originally initiated in 1946 to give emergency food and healthcare to children and mothers in countries devastated by World War II. UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to defend the rights of every child, especially those who are vulnerable . Its activities include giving immunizations, disease prevention, and treatment for children and mothers with HIV, as well as strengthening childhood and maternal health. UNICEF relies whole on voluntary contributions from governments and private donors.

- Provide effective contact and networking developed and propped through partnership and collaboration.
- Collaborate with Operations attendants to implement internal controls systems and resolve day-to-day issues or discrepancies in financial or supply management.
- Team with local Government peers and sectoral stakeholders to exchange information on WASH programme implementation and status, capacity and vulnerability/risk mapping preparedness as well as movement, prepositioning and disbandment of supplies.
- Coordinate with members of the growth community, including NGOs, UN and bilateral agencies in the exchange of transmission relating to WASH sector. Where appropriate support the IASC WASH Cluster during preparedness and reaction to emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in one of the fields relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering, or a field applicable to international WASH-related development assistance.
- Additional internship in Health Education or Communication for Development (Programme Communication), is an asset.
- One year of proficient work experience in international or national organizations with field work experience. Experience with other UN agencies an asset.
- Background/familiarity with Emergency (preparedness and response).
- Proficiency in English and Arabic
