Job Description:
The Assistant Cook is responsible for supporting the Head Cook in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals. This position requires excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. The Assistant Cook will work in the kitchen to prepare ingredients and food items, assist with cooking, clean and sanitize work areas, and serve meals to Employees. Additionally, the Assistant Cook will perform other related duties as assigned.
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menus
- Check food stock and place orders when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor food quality and freshness
- Assist the head chef in kitchen operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
