Job Description:
The Security Guard/Driver is expected to work with other guards and Drivers in the office to provide security and guarding services and driving. Incumbents of this position should maintain under surveillance the guarding/security checks points, as well as incoming/outgoing visitors and item movement.
Security Guard
Keep under surveillance the car parking points, premises check points incoming/outgoing visitors and maintain records of unusual and suspicious activities of individual in/surrounding premises area
Perform search procedures at entrance area where individual, vehicles movement take place
Keep gate pass register updated, ensure visitors are searched for un-allowed item, and they are escorted/directed to the points of contact
Perform guarding/patrolling in the premises while on night/day shift duty
Report immediately to the line manager any security incidents, fire, theft, suspicious activities of individuals and keep the records in the book
Driver
Drive office vehicles safely and, take/drop staff members, to the official destinations as directed by supervisor;
Records all journeys, service and maintenance information in the vehicle logbook, and ensures the vehicle is in a good condition and operationally working well,
Operating the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, following traffic rules and regulations.
Keeping the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and refueled as needed.
Responsible for program vehicle documents and its care, keeps vehicle logbook register and update on a daily basis. Calculates the petrol, oil, and lubricant use on a monthly basis;
Reports the need for maintenance and undertakes minor repairs;
Maintaining open communication with supervisors, team members, and client
Report to line manager immediately any incidents or suspicious activities, in case of fire, property damages
Job Requirements:
Education & Qualifications: Must be High school graduate at least. Additionally, should have security trainings, preferably armed/non-armed background.
Industry experience: Must be job related experienced at least for three years in the background of NGO, local and international agency and have Driving License
Knowledge & Skills:
Technical skills: Good understanding of security protocols and procedures related to driving
Management skills: To demonstrate a polite and approachable manner at all times
Personal qualities: Concise and alert for any treats inside the organization and report immediately to line manager
Technology skills:
Language skills: Must be able to write, read and communicate effectively in Dari/Pashto. Communication skills in English will be considered as advantage
Communication skills: Being able to express and report properly any accident or being preconscious to avoid any accident inside the organization
