Red Cross – Red Crescent movement is the largest volunteer organization in the world. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) is a national society of the movement, constituted on 31 March 1973 by the President’s Order No. 26 of 1973 with retrospective effect from 16 December 1971. This is the biggest humanitarian organization in Bangladesh. As an auxiliary to the government, the Society provides humanitarian assistance to vulnerable people over the last 52 years and has undertaken a wide range of activities in humanitarian response, disaster management, livelihood, health, WASH, capacity building and in promoting Red Cross/ Red Crescent ideals and principles.
BDRCS, under its Population Movement Operation (PMO), has been providing humanitarian services since 2017 for the displaced Rohingya people from Rakhine state of Myanmar who have been sheltered in different camps under Ukhiya and Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar. Currently, BDRCS is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under PMO, Cox’s Bazar:

Educational Qualification:
- Minimum graduation.
- Masters in relevant discipline/ MBA in HRM is desirable.
- Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Bangla English language typing. Required fluency in both spoken and written Bangla and English languages.
Experience:
- At least 5 years’ relevant working experience.
- Experience in the development sector will be given preference.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Managing the day-to-day administration of the PMO Ukhiya Hub Office under direct supervision of PMO HR & Admin Focal.
- Regular reporting to HR & Admin Focal and Officers for all issues.
- Assist PMO HR & Admin team for regular HR & Admin support.
- Assist to maintain and update HR & Admin databases.
- Maintain inventory and update records regularly.
- Assist with administrative purchase and bill processing.
- Manage official supplies & stocks and place orders accordingly.
- Filing system and accurate documentation.
- Maintain task calendars and schedule.
- Managing and allocation of meeting rooms.
- Arrange travel, accommodation and events.
- Supervising office support staff.
- Any other duties assigned by the Authority.
Skills & Abilities:
- Good command in Computer Operation.
- Organization and coordination skills.
- Fluent in English and Bangla.
Personal Qualities:
- Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.
- Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
- Able to work in a team and respect the opinions of others.
- Honest and high level of integrity.
