BRAC began its operation in Afghanistan in 2002, has been implementing its development programs in education, health, citizens’ charter Afghanistan programme as well as capacity development in the country.

Job Description:

• Emptying waste bins and other waste materials to designated collection points and clean up of all office desk and adjacent every day morning.

• Sweeping/mopping of floors, cleaning of carpets in the office/guesthouse premises regularly.

• Cleaning of toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers etc. regularly to keep those ready to use always.

• Register the visitors visiting the office during the official hours •

• Checking visitors and clients visiting the office

• Checking visitors and office cars entering the office

• Frequent reporting to the line supervisor during the night shift

• Regularly updating the line supervisor on the security issues.

• During the emergency situation, inform and contact the relevant staff

• Check the hygiene of the office compound

• Good behaviors with all staff

• Assist/contact with concerned person to refill consumable items; soap, hand wash, toilet tissue, floor cleaners etc. at the points timely and use right quantity of cleaning materials to minimize waste.

• Be available in office time.

• Ensure proper maintenance of the cleaning equipment (Suction/ vacuum cleaner, floor cleaner, brush, spray etc) and keep those in right places.

• Read, understand, practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Job Requirements:

• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

• Integrity

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluency in Pashto and Dari

• Honest, proactive, and well mannered.
