KNOWLEDGE:

 Demonstrated ability to successfully implement large scale and complex projects.

 Current national and global development trends related to urban poverty and urban development.

 Competence in analyzing the social and gender dynamics within urban set up.

 Community organizing and social mobilization.

SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

 Excellent communication, presentation, organization and negotiation skills

 Skill in documentation, facilitation & reporting

 Strong analytical skills, be gender sensitive, and possess a proven track record of working successfully in a variety of cultural contexts

 Awareness of political processes and protocols

 Leadership and people management; Strategic thinking; and problem solving.

Experience:

 Working experience of at least 3-5 years at a relevant experience.

 Substantial experience in operations management in the urban areas, specially health issues.

 Experience of implementing project activities as program needs.

Work in the Urban Development component of the field operation unit of UDP, IRP-Health Project; interventions with the help of UDP, BHP and IRP-WASH project field team members. Maintain strong communication and networking with the municipality and relevant stakeholders for effective implementation of various health interventions and social accountability initiatives.

• Implementation UDP-IRP-Health interventions at the field level as front-line staff.

• Closely follow up community organizers to ensure health services and collective actions by community groups.

• Identify Community leader and Constant liaison with them. Facilitate them to form CDO as per UDP-IRP-Health project guideline with collaboration IRP-WASH Project staff and make sure it functioning and strengthening.

• Maintain strong communication and networking with local government officials for implementing social accountability initiatives.

• Follow up field level implementation in allocated city Corporation/ municipality under project coverage area

• Maintain documentation, prepare monthly MIS report and various reports.

• Assist in organizing training, workshops and different events at the field level according to annual targets.

• Provide support to the technical department & research, knowledge management & M&E department of UDP-IRP-Health project in the field for effective urban interventions.

• Use monitoring data to solve performance issues.

• Collect case story and best practice and document it. Collect field level primary data and assist to compile it to Field Coordinator (FC).

• Identify and assist in organizing capacity development trainings/workshops for the community organizers.

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
