• Candidate should have a good knowledge on safeguarding policy (Child protection, gender and anti-sexual harassment) issue.
• Should have valid motor bike driving license.
• Good understanding on ICT and web based online automated information management system including ability to manage M&E /MIS data base, online data (STREAM/Kobo) analysis including template design, data entry, cleaning, logical checks of monitoring data using MS- Word, MS-excel, MS-Access, in addition working knowledge on SPSS will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity (MJSKS) is a non-government and non-political community development organization located in Kurigram district in the northern Bangladesh. As a non-profit organization, it has been registered with Social Welfare Department, Registration no.70/1974 and NGO Affairs Bureau of government of Bangladesh, vide registration no. 447/1991. Since 1972, the organization has been serving the poor and extreme poor with special focus on the char (River Island) and attached char inhabitants (men, women, youth, children and adolescents) in different areas through several program initiatives. At present, MJSKS is working in Kurigram, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat district. MJSKS has been implementing various types of projects in the field of livelihood development, human rights, women empowerment, youth employability and engagement, adolescent development, gender equality, quality education for children, water and sanitation, health, hygiene & nutrition, Humanitarian Assistance in disaster and climate change adaptation. Sustainable development for the poorest through ensuring peoples participation is the key approach of its work.

Mahideb Jubo Somaj kallayan Samity (MJSKS) is implementing SHOUHARDO III Plus & DRR Activity technical supported by CARE Bangladesh and funded by USAID. The project will continue to delivery improve gender equitable and resilient food nutrition security, increasing equitable access to income. Projects will achieve crosscutting components of gender, governance resilience .The project support communities to develop their capacity to adapt to climate change and improve their resilience to climate change, as well as supporting communities to reduce their climate change impact, work with us to project resource , improving quality of life and raise awareness, while proving people with excess to the tools and knowledge to adapt and respond to adverse climatic impacts and adapt sustainable practices in Kurigram.

MJSKS is looking for a qualified Monitoring & Evaluation Officer for the mentioned program.

Reporting to: Program Manager.

Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance.

Responsibilities:

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer is to be responsible for overall implementation and management of the project.

Major responsibilities including:

• Responsible to design MEL plan, tools/Methodology and indicator tracking mechanism. Responsible to lead monitoring & Evaluation related activities of the program, provide technical assistance to the projecting, collect monitoring data and process the data, Coordination and collaboration with line stakeholders process documentation.
• Ensure incorporation of environmental and climate issues are incorporated in the monitoring tools and prepare the tools in a way to track and monitor the project through the lens of nature based solution (NBS), locally –led adaptation (LLA), environmental mitigation and management plan (EMMP) and climate risk management plan (CRM), as per the donor Gob rules and policies.
• Implement integrated automated information management system. Set up of an efficient complaint feedback and response mechanism (CFRA), collect feedback and complaints from field and inter  into feedback and complaint database (Weekly).
• Facilitating periodic data collection and reporting. Capacity building of the program staff and community supervisor on MEL system. Any other task assigned by supervisor/management.
