Job Summary

This mission is to focus on deploying and managing telecom networks, specifically using Huawei equipment and solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of Huawei’s telecom infrastructure, tools, and technologies, which include wireless, microwave, and IP network solutions

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Tasks: 

• Coordinate the installation of indoor and outdoor equipment’s with Vendor according MTNA specs.

• Responsible for commissioning, testing & troubleshooting of Transmission equipment’s e.g. IDUs/Traffic Nodes/

ODUs/Radio Units, MW Antennas etc.

• Responsible for on air & upgrade of MW links/backbones.

• Responsible for commissioning, testing & troubleshooting of Huawei & Ericsson (2G, 3G & 4G) BTSs.

• Responsible for on-air & upgrade of 2G, 3G & 4G sites (Huawei & Ericsson).

• Coordinate with Huawei technical support teams to ensure the smooth deployment of equipment.

• Oversee the installation and configuration of telecom equipment, including routers, switches, servers, antennas, and

transmission systems.

• Ensure that systems are implemented according to design specifications and technical standards.

• Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate installation.

• Oversee the installation and configuration of telecom equipment, including routers, switches, servers, antennas, and

transmission systems.

• Conduct performance analysis using Huawei monitoring and testing tools, such as the M2000 network

management system and U2000 for transmission networks.

• Identify and resolve hardware, software, or configuration issues on Huawei devices.

• Ensure seamless network handover and interoperability between different vendors or technologies.

• Coordinate the roll out of MTN backbones within the region.

• Coordinate interconnection with other operators based on requirements, corporate clients and GSM service

providers within the region.

• Coordinate installation of optical fiber network.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, RF engineers, and IT teams to align on project

goals.

• Responsible for installation, commissioning, testing, trouble shooting and hand over to vendor for maintenance.

• Providing technical guidance to colleagues and to other teams.

• Finding creative solutions to the challenges of network design, mobile communications, data service requirements,

internet and network signaling protocols.

• Providing inputs on errors in work packs/templates if any for improvement.

• Liaising with internal and external suppliers.

• Working in an extremely pressured and hostile environment to meet daily challenges and tight schedule.

• Re-writing or modifying processes to ensure all aspects of the service run smoothly and on schedule.

• Report to Direct Supervisor about the engineering implementation progress.

• Responsible for installations and commissioning, implementation, testing and troubleshooting of Hybrid System.

• Implementation of all tasks related to network assigned by planning departments.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements  

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering/Electronic Engineering/ICTI from a recognized university.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience working with Huawei telecom systems and infrastructure, particularly in large-scale telecom rollouts and multi-region projects.
• Experience with Open RAN concepts and working in multi-vendor environments with Huawei infrastructure.
• Experience with 2G/3G/4G/5G Huawei technologies including site deployment, and network expansion.
• Knowledge of fiber-optic and microwave backhaul systems, including Huawei’s microwave transmission solutions.
