Job Description:
Basic Function:
- Follow the laws, rules, guidelines, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable now and from time to time and adherence to the line of authority;
Planning
- Assist CFO / DY-CFO in formulating the bank’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Monitor the implementation of strategic business plans
- Develop financial strategies in coordination with CFO / DY-CFO
- Develop performance measures that support the bank’s strategic direction
Operations
- Manage the accounting and fixed assets functions including recording in GL/PL/customer accounts, review of documents, reporting, fixed asset additions, tagging, listing, depreciation, and disposal.
- Maintain Fixed Assets list, initial Recognition best on Supporting Documents, and Subsequent measurement and complying monthly basis with FA Module.
- Reporting Tangible and intangible fixed assets, additions, depreciation, Amortizations, disposals, write-off, sales and maintaining all movement of fixed assets, and tagging process listing.
- Reporting of Grand assets depreciation, Amortization, and recording in GL/PL the deferred income.
- Controlling supporting documents and Authorization of all types of posted vouchers in the system as per the authority limit
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the finance, and operations team
- Oversee financial operations.
- Any other task may be assigned by the line managers.
Financial Information
- Oversee the issuance of financial information.
- Supporting the section in the month-end and year-end processes and ensuring a smooth completion of the month and year-end activities.
Risk Management
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the bank’s risk profile
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
- Report risk issues to the CFO / DY-CFO to be presented to the audit committee of the board of supervisors
- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
Supervises: Deputy General Managers, Officers, and Representatives
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors in Business Administration (Finance) / Bachelor of Commerce (Must)
- Master’s in Business Administration (Finance), and Foundation Level of ACCA (Preferred)
- Sound knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
4.Relevant prior experience of a minimum of two years with financial institutions (Preferred)
Proficiency in the official languages of the country, English and
Familiarity with computer programs
