Job Description:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Basic Role: The basic role of this position is the effective participation in beneficiary selection process, site selection, technical survey of project sites, and implementation of cash for work project. The post holder will ensure that project activity is well understood and accepted by the target community, also ensures that the best approach for effective and standardized project implementation considering rehabilitation/repair/construction of water management infrastructures is in place.
Specifically, project site supervisors will have the following responsibilities:
Direct program implementation:
Ensure involving the community members, CDCs, district authorities, and provincial line department in the planning, implementation, and closure stages of the project in close coordination with site engineers
Conduct Beneficiary Profile Survey and household assessment
As a foreman, follow up the cash for work beneficiaries, attendance sheets, and make sure the activities are implemented according to approved sub-projects, BoQs and workplan
Mobilize target communities and project beneficiaries to adhere the standards and key messages for the rehabilitation/repair/construction water management infrastructures.
Actively attend community mobilization and sensitization sessions at district and community levels
Support and building the capacity of project beneficiaries on the rehabilitation/repair/construction water management infrastructures and infrastructure maintenance after the project handover to the community
Monitor and ensure the progress of work and project beneficiaries’ eligibility for disbursement
Capacity building to the local masons and project beneficiaries while implementing the project
In close coordination with project coordinator, site engineers and community leaders select and identify cash distribution points and facilitate cash distribution to cash for work beneficiaries.
Assist M&E unit to conduct project data collection
Make sure to have very strong documentation of all activities within office and project site
Assist site engineers in sub-project proposal preparation, if needed
Conducting toolbox meetings with the workers before commencement of physical activities
Assist the site engineers in safety plan execution
Any other task assigned by the line manager
Supervision:
Facilitate project and activities information at all events such as training and workshops
Day-to-day infrastructure site visits
Reports and coordination:
Coordination about the NAC’s activities under the cash for work project and building effective coordination and cooperation among local stakeholders at district and community level in collaboration with site engineers
Data collection and writing periodic reports weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports, besides assisting in the cash distribution reports.
Assist in preparation of project progress and project completion reports and success stories
Reporting directly to Site Engineer and Provincial Senior Engineer

Local language with preferred English
Qualifications Required:
BA in civil engineering or any other related field, and hydraulic engineering highly is preferred.
Preferred working experience in implementing construction projects, cash for work, small-scale irrigation infrastructures projects, and foreman for construction projects.
Preferred those who were part of the food security project.
Local candidates will be preferred
Available to travel within target districts and out of province if required by organization.

Skills:
Good training skills in watershed management related topics
Working in humanitarian and emergency teams
Being part of the assessment team
Good skill of coordination and cooperation with local communities
Should understand local norms and culture
