Responsibilities & Context

Project Details: PRANTIC has been working in the Rohingya and Host Communities of Ukhiya and Teknaf since 2018. PRANTIC is working on Education, Health, Livelihood for Women Empowerment and Emergency response in this context. As a part of Education access to the Rohingy Children PRANTIC has been closely working with BRAC managed Pooled fund team, which is supported by the Global Affairs of Canada (GAC) and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DEFAT) for “Support to FDMN in Cox’s Bazar in Education and WASH Sector, Phase-4: September 2023 – August 2024” project.

Project Focal is a mid-level position in PRANTIC. The incumbent is expected to work directly with the Program Coordinator to fulfill three main purposes such as attaining project implementation, ensuring regular reports for government and donors and increasing the capacity of staff to establish a well-functioning team to implement Pooled Fund supported Education project and programs smoothly in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide technical support and oversight to implement education programs at CBLFs. Provide leadership and support to implement PRANTIC’s education projects, monitor progress through field visits, review of indicators, and meetings with staff, communities, government, and other stakeholders.
  • Preparation and timely submission of reports to the PRANTIC Management.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and monitoring and evaluation processes of programming and ensure SOPs are in place.
  • Support the recruitment, supervise and manage the Education field team, including provision of capacity building. Ensure that the project’s M&E system is in place and activity review takes place during regular intervals to ensure the quality of the interventions and follow the implementation plans of the project.
  • Guide and support the project team to ensure effective project implementation reaching the targets according to the donor agreement.
  • Monitor progress through field visits, review of indicators, and meetings with staff, communities, government, and other stakeholders to ensure that work is planned and organized in a way that meets the needs of the beneficiaries in the most cost-effective manner possible.

  • Coordination with various stakeholders, including Donor, PRANTIC management level, local administration, local government, sectors, NGOs and regular participation in the sector & sub-sector meetings, including coordination meetings as representatives of PRANTIC.
  • Identify gaps in the workforce and organize appropriate training for staff and volunteers as required.
  • Prepare and timely submission of reports for senior organizational officials, donors and other stakeholders when required.
  • Develop operational plans and effective execution in terms of time management.
  • Any other task relevant to the position as requested by the line manager
