Additional Requirements

• Minimum 03 years of professional project management experience in the field of RMG.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
• Proficiency in computer skills in MS Office, Excel, and Power Point etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill in Bangla and English.

Vacancies under the “Strengthening Meaningful Participation of Factory Workers, and Their Children in Leveraging Decent Environment to Enjoy Their Rights and Well-being in Bangladesh (SMILE)” project.

SOF started SMILE project with the support of Educo and MANGO . The project contributes to create a transformative impact on the lives of the garment workers, their children in the adjacent communities and the factory authority. For the project, we are looking for Project Coordinator.

Reporting to: Executive Director

Responsibilities:

• Lead the project team and coordinate the overall project activity and provide technical and operational support to project staffs.
• Contribute to develop Project activities implementation guideline and materials.
• Develop annual action plan of project activities and ensure quality as well as timely implementation.
• Ensure project objective and result achieved maintaining financial and programmatic guideline, compliance and following organizational policies.
• Monitor achievements of project results in line with project log frame.
• Review and finalize periodic and annual narrative report in line with Donor guideline.
• Develop Annual Report of the organization.
• Analysis project budget and its variance as well as keep it in track.
• Analyze relevant audit reports and take necessary corrective measures for further improvements.
• Develop MoU for making partnership with RMG factory.
• Develop referral mechanism for victims to get legal support and also creating better employment opportunity in RMG factory.
• Develop training module and facilitate different training e.g. women empowerment, gender and VAW, leadership, caregiver, negotiation and collective bargaining, PC committee and trade union, workers’ rights etc. with RMG workers and management.
• Contribute to develop IEC material e.g. poster, leaflet for awareness building on gender equality and women empowerment issue.
• Organize and facilitate local and national level events e.g. campaign, workshop, dialog session on research findings with different stakeholder including Government.
• Maintain regular liaison with management of RMG factory, Network organization as well as Donor partners.
• Dealing the foreign and local visitor to visit project progress and other purpose.
• Develop ToR for hiring consultant to conduct survey or any study.
• Oversee the process of the survey/ study, evaluation, and assessment conduct by the external consultants.
• Maintain communication and coordination with donor, factory management, community and other relevant stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as and when necessary and assigned by the management.

Compensation & Other Benefits

Religious festival bonus (yearly): 100% of a monthly gross salary.

Other allowance as per project.
