UNV – United Nations Volunteers

UNV, or the United Nations Volunteers, is a UN program that promotes volunteerism as a means of contributing to peace and development around the world. The program was established in 1970 and has since placed thousands of volunteers in over 130 countries. UNV works with governments, UN agencies, civil society organizations, and communities to identify areas where volunteer contributions can make a meaningful difference. Volunteers serve in a wide range of roles, from supporting humanitarian and disaster relief efforts to promoting environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
