WDIO is nationally based in Kabul and maintains field operations through five regional offices, with over ninety-seven staff members, located in Kabul, Bamiyan & Logar (Center-Region), Ghor & Herat (West-Region), Nangarhar, Laghman & Kunar (East-region), Takhar & Badakhshan (North-Region) and Kandahar (South-Region). WDIO maintains the departments of Program, Operation, Human Resources Finance, and Procurement. Each department operates according to the WDIO written policies and procedure manuals updated based on the context of the area where WDIO implementing projects.

Job Summary
Watan Development and Initiative Organization needs to hire Field Monitor/Supervisors.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan the project implementation at the district and community level with the team.
- Share criteria for selection of beneficiaries with the field team, CDCs, Schools, beneficiary selection committees, and other relevant stakeholders at the field level
- Oversee the selection process of beneficiaries for all the project interventions.
- Ensure project achievements according to the project work plan and make course corrections when needed
- Ensure that staff at the field level has monthly individual work plans and follow up/make adjustments as needed
- Ensure that all stakeholders such as; CDCs, Schools, CBE and sectoral departments participate in project activities and are satisfied and well-coordinated
- Work closely with District Field monitor on budget planning and use at district levels and ensure to avoid any over/under expenditures
- Demonstrate good teamwork and involve others in decision-making and keep them informed of affairs
- Conduct regular monitoring of field staff performance and project implementation in the field and report findings to the Provincial Coordinator.
- Hold regular meetings with the project staff at field level to share success, solve problems, and plan ahead
- Solving conflicts when raised and providing proper recommendations for solutions to the apparent conflicts and problems
- Ensure timely collection of quality reports from the field staff & ensure timely and quality submission of reports to his/her Supervisor
- Actively participate in meetings at the local level
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year’s working experience in similar positions of national and international NGOs.
- 12 grade general education is required (preference to those who have bachelor’s degree in social science)
Required Languages – Excellent Pashto and Dari reading, writing, and verbal skills.
Travel – The position will be based in one of the Ghor districts with frequent travels to the field (schools, CBE classes).
Preference is given to those who have a couple
Field Monitor/Supervisor is required to have his/her own smartphone for ODK purposes.
