Job Description:

Duties & Responsibilities

Training and Facilitation:

  • Deliver digital skills training sessions, including basic computer skills, coding, digital literacy, and internet safety.
  • Develop and adapt training materials to meet the needs and skill levels of the participants.
  • Use interactive and participatory teaching methods to engage and motivate learners.
  • Manage the daily operations of the digital hub, ensuring that all equipment is functional and properly maintained.
  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of training sessions and other hub activities.
  • Ensure the digital hub is a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Provide individual and group support to participants, helping them to overcome any barriers to learning.
  • Monitor the progress of participants and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Track and document the progress and achievements of the participants.
  • Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the training programs.
  • Prepare and submit reports on hub activities, outcomes, and impact.
  • Manage the inventory of digital equipment and materials, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Identify and procure additional resources as needed to enhance the training programs.
  • Collaborate with other facilitators, trainers, and partners to share best practices and resources.
  • Experience working with adolescents and youth, especially girls, in culturally conservative contexts.
  • Collect and analyze data on participation, access, and learning outcomes using digital and manual tools.
  • Prepare regular reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Document best practices and success stories for knowledge sharing and donor reporting.
  • Participate in relevant forums, workshops, and meetings to stay updated on trends and innovations in digital education.
  • Support the design, setup, and management of community-based digital hubs and mobile learning units.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to deploy digital learning platforms suitable for low-connectivity and remote areas.
  • Facilitate access to foundational digital literacy and skills training for adolescents and youth, with a focus on girls.

 

Job Requirements:

Qualification Skill & Experience:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, computer science, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering digital skills training or working in an educational or community development role. Experience working with girls and young women is highly desirable.

Language:

Fluency in Dari, Pashto, English (both written and verbal) is required.
