World Vision

World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God. It is a Christian humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization that is dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential. World Vision was founded in 1950 by Robert Pierce as a service organization to provide care for children in Korea. Today, it is active in over 100 countries with a total revenue including grants, product and foreign donations of USD $3.14 billion. World Vision’s objectives include transformational development that is community-based and sustainable, focused especially on the needs of children, as well as emergency and advocacy work. The organization is dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and experience fullness of life. World Vision is inspired by its Christian faith and believes that no child is lost and no situation is hopeless.
