Scope of work
1. Be part of the social team of the REDD+ PBR Project and support the actions carried out in Output 1 of the same, emphasizing activity 1.1, for which you must carry out information collection actions, contact with key actors, preparation of tours and workshops, systematization of meetings, workshops, consultations, among other aspects.
2. Support the development and management of information that allows highlighting and evidencing actions related to compliance with safeguards and operational policies for the Costa Rica REDD+ Strategy, with which safeguards and stakeholder participation plans can be built or updated, gender, indigenous peoples, communication, among other tools that the REDD+ PBR Project is working on, in coordination with the REDD+ Secretariat.
3. Assist in the implementation of a strategy for the participation of key REDD+ actors in the fulfillment of the National REDD+ Strategy, both at the local level (planning or geographic regions) and nationally (support field activities, workshops, regional events and socialization).
4. Assist in the construction of Forest and Territorial Environmental Plans (PAFT) in indigenous territories and in the preparation of field workshops for the generation of reports and compliance with the roadmap proposed by each of them, in coordination with the indigenous specialist of the project. At the time, promote actions that tend to disseminate the PAFT and towards implementation.
5. Support the planning and implementation of training activities programmed by the Project, with a special focus on monitoring the concrete impact of these activities on compliance with the REDD+ PBR Project Prodoc and the country’s REDD+ Strategy.
6. Assist in the planning and systematization of activities aimed at the participation and approval of Indigenous Peoples in the REDD+ PBR Project processes, framed in the actions already coordinated with the REDD+ Secretariat.
7. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports on the project’s achievements, along with other reports requested by the REDD+ Project coordination, with the appropriate support that demonstrates compliance with the activities, as well as in the annual planning processes of the Project. and UNDP.
The incumbent performs other functions within his/her functional profile that are considered necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization.

Institutional Agreement
A person who works full time is required to develop the activities of the REDD+ PBR Project, jointly with the National REDD+ Secretariat, in order to achieve the expected results. The hired person will work under the supervision of the Project Coordination. She must coordinate the work she does with the person who plays the role of senior specialist of the social team and the specialist in indigenous peoples of the Project. The evaluation of the performance of the person who assumes this position will be carried out based on all the activities and competencies described in these TORs, with full compliance with the functions and competencies being essential to obtain a satisfactory performance evaluation.

NPSA Successful Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Academic Requirements
• Complete secondary school (high school high school).
• University studies (University Baccalaureate) in Sociology, Sustainable Development, Economics, Social and Economic Planning, Environmental Sciences, Cooperation, or areas related to the subject of this contract will be considered favorably, but is not a requirement.
Minimum Years of Relevant Experience
• Minimum 7 years (with a high school diploma) or 4 years (with a university bachelor’s degree) of experience in assisting cooperation projects in the public and private sectors. Experience working with multidisciplinary groups and in field work.
