Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the project officer for the Pacific Digital Economy Programme, the consultant will support the implementation of the project by carrying out the following tasks:
1. Support to the national e-commerce steering committee or working group established as part of the project by assisting of the meetings of the national e-commerce steering committee or working group established as part of the E-Commerce strategy development project
2. Organization and facilitate the workshop of the eTrade Readiness Assessment key stakeholders in government, private sector, and civil society.
3. Organize the national launch of the eT Ready and related communication activities
4. Coordinate the review of the ECS with government of the focal points of the review of the National E-commerce Strategy then gather comments with the Steering commitee
5. Organize the workshop for the National E-commerce Strategy with key stakeholders in government, private sector and civil society then
follow-up with the public and private sector stakeholders on any remaining tasks
6. Organize the workshop for the National E-commerce Strategy with key stakeholders in government, private sector and civil society
Qualifications/special skills
A first University degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Development, Trade, Social Sciences or similar field, is required.
At least 5 years of work experience supporting the development of national policies or strategies are required.
Experience organizing missions and multi-stakeholder consultations is required.
Experience working with international organizations is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Tetum, Portuguese or Indonesian language skills are desirable.
