Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the governance, political participation and women’s leadership program manager and Gender Statistics Specialist of the regional office, the international consultant to support capacity building in Gender-Sensitive Planning and Budgeting (PBSG) will perform the following specific tasks:
- Develop a capacity building program for institutional actors in PBSG
- Develop a training guide in Sensitive Planning and Budgeting (PBSG) based on the manual on GRB developed by UN Women
- Support the technical capacities of the government, UN Women staff, civil society and other key stakeholders in the production of statistics and gender-responsive budgeting (BSG).

Required Skills and Experience
Education
- Postgraduate diploma (Master) in social and political sciences, economic sciences and development, equality between women and men, etc.
- Doctoral degree is an asset.
Experience
- At least 10 years of practical experience working on integrating a gender perspective into the budget, development program/project at national and international levels;
- Experience in developing programs, guides, design of didactic and educational materials for training on gender equality for staff of development organizations and institutional actors;
- Experience in collecting and analyzing gender, economic and program budget data.
- Good computer skills in a Windows environment, knowledge of Internet communications and mastery of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Languages
- Fluency in written and oral English and French.
