Duties and responsibilities

The Location Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that accommodation locations meet the quality, efficiency and safety standards required for events such as those of the G20 nature. The Rental Analyst will work in close coordination with the Accommodation Analyst, to whom he will be subordinate. To achieve the objectives, the following indicative activities are planned, among others.

o Develop a strategy for accommodating delegations, participants and guests at G20 meetings, with clear objectives for selecting locations and ensuring they are aligned with the needs and expectations of delegations.
o Identify, evaluate and select suitable accommodation locations, including hotels, event facilities and other accommodation options, considering criteria such as quality, capacity, proximity to meeting locations and specific delegation requirements.
o Manage contracts with accommodation locations, ensuring that the terms are aligned with the needs of the delegations and the available budget and that they include contingency clauses for unforeseen situations.
o Oversee location occupancy and ensure all bookings are managed effectively and manage location-related issues and challenges such as booking cancellations, quality issues or changes in delegation needs, and take proactive measures to minimize negative impacts.
o Maintain effective communication with delegations to provide location information, resolve problems, and respond to special requests.
o Collaborate closely with other logistics teams to ensure effective management of operations.
o Conduct post-event assessment to identify strengths and areas for improvement in rental operations.

Institutional Arrangement

The Rental Analyst will be part of the team of the aforementioned Logistics Coordination Center located at the MRE and will be subject to the direct supervision of the Accommodation Analyst of this MRE Center and the coordination of the UNDP project. This is a position financed by project(s), with an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of renewal during the validity of the initiatives.

Required skills and experience

Minimum Education Requirements:
• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is required, or
• Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or other related field in combination with 2 Additional years
of experience will be given due consideration in lieu of master’s degree.

Minimum years of relevant professional experience:
• Up to 2 years (with a Master’s degree) or minimum 2 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of experience in the area of ​​rental planning and management.

Required skills:
• Experience in major international events.

Desired skills, in addition to the skills covered in the Skills section:
• Experience in managing accommodation plans for different delegations;
• Knowledge of rental rules and regulations;
• Experience in managing accommodation rental contracts for large events (from 500 participants).

Required languages:   
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is necessary.
