Job Description

Under the supervision of the Senior Health Manager of the Global Fund malaria project, he will be responsible for:

  • Supervise Supervisors in the organization and delivery of awareness and training sessions for the prevention of malaria throughout the area covered by the project;
  • Plan and monitor the smooth running of training and coaching sessions for ASCs, FGs and GACs;
  • Actively participate in the implementation of EMCs and GACs;
  • Participate in the selection of local radio stations for the routine broadcasting of spots and programs to raise awareness about malaria;
  • Establish a system for the integration of economic and gender recovery activities in the implementation of local awareness activities
  • Establish a mechanism for monitoring and regular collection of data linked to the activities carried out by community actors;
  • Provide the necessary support to Supervisors for the organization of presentation ceremonies for ASCs, GFs and GACs;
  • Help the Project Manager prepare meetings (semi-annual coordination meeting, data presentation meeting, task force, project presentation ceremony, etc.);
  • Establish an effective system for the supervision of Supervisors;
  • Ensure good relations with all project stakeholders in each health district;
  • Ensure the collection of data on the ground in the areas covered by the project;
  • Ensure compliance and implementation of the schedule of action plans and monitoring and evaluation processes;
  • Organize review and planning meetings for different activities as well as all meetings;
  • Comply with and comply with all current conditions as stipulated in the IRC Mandatory Reporting Bylaws, the IRC Code of Conduct and the IRC Staff Bylaws.

Qualifications

  • Bac + 3/4 in community health, law, social science or equivalent diploma;
  • Two to three years’ experience in managing community activities;
  • Significant experience in community mobilization and ICCM approach
  • Experience in team management and remote management;
  • Knowledge of the Ivorian health system:
  • Desired experience in strengthening the capacities of different actors: Health workers, Field agent, ASC, GF and GAC;
  • Good knowledge of social legislation and the NGO environment;
  • Perfect command of IT tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
  • Good writing skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding policy;
  • Good knowledge of mediation techniques;
  • Great ability to analyze and resolve problems and conflicts;
  • Organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and meet required deadlines;
  • Team player with a personality attentive to respecting the well-being needs of staff;
  • Ability to motivate staff / balance work and family life and encourage others to do so;
  • Exercise discretion;
  • Ability to advise and coach others, if necessary.
