Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Partnership Analyst will be responsible for identifying, supporting negotiations, monitoring and maintaining financial partnerships. The Financial Partnership Analyst will work in close coordination with the Partnership Analyst, to whom he/she will be subordinate. To achieve the objectives, the following indicative activities are planned, among others.
o Develop input for a fundraising strategy aligned with the project goals and objectives and analyze the suitability and alignment of funding sources with the needs of the events and the project
o Identify and evaluate potential funding sources, such as corporate sponsors, donations, government grants and other financial resources and prepare presentations for potential sponsors and financial partners.
o Maintain a detailed record of all financial contacts and agreements.
o Analyze partnerships according to the rules and procedures defined for receiving funds and ensure that agreements are aligned with the objectives of the events and the project’s budgetary guidelines
o Maintain solid relationships with financial partners, ensuring effective communication and long-term partnerships term.
o Monitor the use of financial resources and ensure their allocation effectively and efficiently.
o Conduct post-event assessment of the performance of financial partnerships and identify areas that need to be improved for future events.

Institutional Arrangement

The Financial Partnership Analyst will be part of the team of the aforementioned Logistics Coordination Center allocated at the MRE and will be subject to the direct supervision of the Partnership Analyst of this MRE Center and the coordination of the UNDP project. This is a position financed by project(s), with an initial duration of one year, with the possibility of renewal during the validity of the initiatives.

Required knowledge and skills:

Minimum education requirements:   
• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Economics or related field is required, or
• Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s degree) in Business, Marketing, Economics or other related field in combination with 2 additional years of experience will be given due consideration in lieu of master’s degree.

Minimum years of relevant professional experience:
• Up to 2 years (with a Master’s degree) or minimum 2 years (with a bachelor’s degree) of
fundraising.

Required skills:
• Experience in major international events.

Desired skills in addition to the skills covered in the Skills section:
• Experience in raising financial resources for projects;
• Experience in monitoring financial resources.
• Experience in designing and implementing a fundraising strategy.

Required language(s): 
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is necessary.
