Main responsibilities
- Develop, and ensure implementation of the Risk and Compliance strategy and action plan.
- Regular risk assessment guided by DRC’s Risk Management process.
- Conduct partner capacity assessments and reviews. Induct partner organizations on relevant donor requirements and monitor their performance against such.
- Develop and implement the various trainings for all full-time, casual, and volunteer staff, as well as DRC’s partners in regards to Risk and Compliance processes.
- While using the Compliance Self Checks (CSC), assist field and country offices in developing recommendations and action points to improve on gaps identified
- Maintain the audit recommendation tracking sheet and ensure timely reminders and follow with managements for implementation of the recommended actions.
- Coordinating Risk Register process with Regional / HQ focal points.
- Strengthen the existing mechanisms and ensure that adequate measures are implemented at field level.
- Working closely with the CD and SMT to ensure internal compliance with the CHS and Code of Conduct.
- Supporting the CoCRM’s functioning at operational level as per the CoCRM OH and ensuring the CoCRM is accessible, transparent, and adapted to the Turkey context.
- Supporting the coordination with other safeguarding stakeholders for the purpose of the dissemination of code of conduct and safeguarding (PSEAH) policies and activities.
- Acting as the SG & CoCRM Focal Point (FP) in order to disseminate safeguarding and Code of Conduct training and activities, representing and participating in relevant working groups, clusters or inter-agency networks and as per the FP TOR.
- Take lead on establishing and coordinating relationships with authorities at local and central levels.
- Making sure that DRC activities are in compliance with the relevant law in Türkiye.
- Coordination and with other actors in regards to legal compliance requirements.
- Provide support to liaison teams in field level in regards to implementation of local compliance requirements.
About you
Experience and technical competencies:
- At least 3-year experience with the Turkish law that is related to NGOs.
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with humanitarian / development organizations with responsibilities for risk and compliance and/or programme quality functions.
- Knowledge of relevant sectoral areas implemented by country programmes – including protection and/or economic recovery.
- Highly developed skills and demonstrated capacity developing risk and compliance strategies and mechanisms, including implementation and training in related principles and practice.
- Advanced knowledge and demonstrated ability of principles and practices related to confidentiality, protection in a humanitarian context.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Education:
- Relevant university law degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- Professional humanitarian qualifications / recognized training certificates in Accountability-related areas (CHS, PSEA, investigations, etc).
Languages:
- English (fluent)
- Turkish (fluent)
