General Position Description:

  • Under the supervision of the Economic Recovery Manager, the TLMDV will lead the implementation of all Livelihood objectives, including registration of beneficiaries, vocational and entrepreneurial diagnosis, selection of beneficiaries according to established criteria, database management, development of training and post-training monitoring processes and post-delivery of seed capital.
  • Ensure the quality of planning, implementation and monitoring of all technical aspects of the program activities under your responsibility that DRC is implementing in Cundinamarca.
  • Support the Project Manager in developing and maintaining good relationships with persons of concern, relevant stakeholders and other humanitarian actors, to ensure the implementation and coordination necessary for DRC Livelihoods activities.

Responsibilities

Livelihood Project Implementation-

  • Lead the implementation of specific Livelihood activities including registration of beneficiaries, vocational and entrepreneurial diagnosis, selection of beneficiaries according to established criteria and processes, database management, development of training and monitoring processes, post formation and post-delivery of seed capital, constitution and management of savings groups
  • Coordinate, plan and monitor the activities of livelihood officers and assistants
  • Facilitate the monitoring and evaluation processes of the monitoring team
  • Ensure effective coordination with other DRC programs and in particular with the Multipurpose Monetary Transfers – MPCA, and protection programs.
  • Ensure the highest quality of Livelihood interventions and coherence between all ongoing and proposed projects, in line with the overall strategy;
  • Assume leadership of Livelihood activities for the area and responsibility issues.

Programming and Operations

  • Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of the program while respecting the budget and work plan.
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual reports/reports, proposals and budgets for donors

Experiences and technical skills: 

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in socioeconomic integration, or more specifically entrepreneurship and/or employability, related to an NGO or other non-profit organization;
  • Field experience and work with urban and/or rural, displaced communities, and/or migrants and refugees
  • Ideally, experience in team management, for project development.
  • Experience and ability to relate to people, interact with a multidisciplinary team, to manage teams and to resolve conflicts
  • Excellent report writing skills and other internal communication documents
  • Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in managing databases
  • Experience in the production of technical material (training materials, communication tools, reports, guides, etc.);
  • Skills and experience in training and developing the capabilities of inexperienced personnel, and in team management.

Desirable

  • Calm and diplomatic character;
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to create a good team environment;
  • Proficiency in English is an advantage;
