Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Develop and implement pipeline for VR&P clients and oversee pipeline, assurances, eligibility checks and processing steps via IRIS. 
  • Support Program Officer and Monitoring Officer in visualizing pipeline and making decisions on allocations of cases to Virtual Case Managers dependent on skills, location, and language capabilities.
  • Ensure that case files and databases are maintained accurately and timely, in accordance with program requirements.
  • Build and develop strategic partnerships with key internal and external partners, including the Refugee Processing Center (RPC) and the IRC Processing team.
  • Support compliance with donor requirements related to assurance and eligibility.
  • Analyze trends across the program using relevant data sources and advise the Deputy Director on the best course of action.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field of study required. 

Work Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience implementing domestic refugee resettlement, specifically with the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) Reception & Placement program
  • At least 1 year of experience overseeing processing and assurance duties for a resettlement agency or local affiliate. 

Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRC’s core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.      Ability to lead in a way that recognizes that IRC’s work is best accomplished through the true collaboration of individuals from many cultures with a great variety of skills and perspectives.
  • Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
  • Experience and understanding of the Department of State’s Bureau of Populations, Refugees, and Migration’s Reception & Placement (R&P) program. 
  • Experience working with newcomer populations, such as refugees.
  • Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work product.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes.

Working Environment: 

  • Fully remote.

Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
