Responsibilities:
- Oversee college readiness after-school, weekend and summer programs including curriculum development, program operations, and the implementation of programs and/or processes (e.g. transportation, tracking, site rules, discipline, site schedule, space requirements, etc.).
- Oversee case management services provided to youth participating in programming, ensuring compliance with grant requirements regarding necessary documentation, service plans and case documentation.
- Manage staff and coordinate the activities of interns and a large team of volunteers.
- Maintain and expand upon related community-based partnerships. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. administrators, vendors, facility managers, public agencies, community members, etc.) to ensure successful implementation of programs.
- Develop and implement new and existing monitoring and evaluation tools/strategies that align with the
- IRC’s Evidence and Outcome Framework. Identify ways to track academic progress, social and emotional wellbeing and civic engagement.
- Contribute to donor and end of year impact reports. Support senior management with communicating program success to other audiences as needed including donor visits, media, etc.
- Organize meetings, workshops, seminars, etc. (e.g. staff trainings, parent meetings, etc.) for the purpose of identifying issues, gaining knowledge, providing information and/or supporting site staff.
- Contribute to youth program development and organizational growth, strategic planning, outreach and advocacy activities and events as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred; preferably in the field of education, social work, psychology, or a related human services field.
- 2+ years of progressively responsible experience working with at-risk youth, specifically in the context of educational and social programs.
- Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
- Experience developing and implementing college-readiness programming preferred.
- Demonstrated ability working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English required; bilingual or multilingual abilities preferred.
- Saturday availability during the school year.
- Must have a valid US driver’s license and regular access to an insured vehicle.
Working Environment:
- Standard office work environment. Local travel to client schools, special events, and other community-based organizations is required. Some evening/weekend work may be required.
