How can you make a difference?
We are looking for a highly organized, creative and dynamic intern to join the Director’s Office and contribute, hands on, to the success of the front office. The incumbent would work under the daily guidance of, and in collaboration with, the Executive Manager and the Senior Executive Associate. The work of a front office is diverse and fast-paced – every day is different and requires agility to cope with emergencies while also maintaining a constant focus on strategic priorities and the improvement of processes related to the management of the division.
Areas in which the support of the incumbent will be needed include:
- Support to management meetings. Support the organization of management meetings, as well as notetaking and the packaging of decisions for further dissemination.
- Management processes and governance. Support multiple projects or initiatives aimed at strengthening the management and governance of the division as well as to foster collaboration, agile decision-making and coordination.
- Coordination and secretarial support. Provide additional support, as needed, for the organization of the Director’s meetings, including compiling and reviewing briefing notes. Compile and quality-assure the package of briefing notes needed ahead of the Director’s missions. Support correspondence management. Review, as needed, other documents, strategies and policies to extract and summarize information needed for the Director’s Office.
- Planning. Support planning processes of the front office, as well as the monitoring of key actions and priorities.
- Internal communications. Support internal communication of the Director, as needed.
- Support the management of emergencies, as well as risk management and mitigation.
Modality: Paid – Fulltime
Tentative start date: 1 March 2024
Duration: 26 weeks
Location: Office-based in Geneva, Switzerland
