Scope of Work 

  • Support the project team to ensure effective project planning and implementation. 
  • Assist in planning, coordinating and tracking all project activities.
  • Assist in relevant research related to the implementation of the project activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of project work plan and TOR for subcontracts.
  • Follow-up on the timely submission of deliverables from  national and international experts and institutions (in consultation with the PM).
  •  Review, edit, and ensure compliance of the submitted drafts and final reports with project document.
  •  Managing and centralize all project information and reports provided by consultants, surveyors, and other data sources.

 

  • Provide support to the effective monitoring and reporting on progress of project implementation.
  • Provide assistance in preparation of inception, progress and final reports, manuals, communications, press releases and awareness material;
  • Assist in preparing for meetings and presentations, draft minutes of the meetings;
  • Coordinate logistics for field work, schedule and participate in conferences, workshops and events
  • Draft correspondence in English and Russian, and follow up on correspondence.
  • Maintain an up-to-date filling structure for all documents activities of the project.
  • Coordinate with NDA and oversee administrative support activities
  • Oversee all work activities of administrative support aspect
  • Keep track of project expenditures and finances and liaise with  UNDP and GCF on financial matters.
  • Enter data, develop and maintain the project  webpage
  • Assist the NDA in any related administrative tasks that are requested on ad-hoc basis.
  • Perform additional tasks within scope of work and as required by the Project Manager

4.   Institutional Arrangement: 

The Project Associate works under the general supervision of the Project manager and collaborates closely with the Project staff and Operational Unit.

Minimum Education requirements

  • Secondary Education is required
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Management or relevant related field will be given due consideration but not a requirement

Minimum years of relevant work experience 

  • Minimum 6 years (with secondary education) or 3 years (with Bachelor’s degree) of progressively responsible experience dealing with logistical and administrative aspects in national and/or international project coordination is required.

Required skills 

  • Relevant years of experience in finance and administration support of donor projects.
  • Relevant years of experience in taking notes during meetings and coordinating logistics for field work, conferences, workshops and events.
  • Experience in ITC technologies (related software, phone, fax, email and internet) and good command of MS Office.

Desired skills 

  • Working experience within an international agency is an asset.

Required Language(s):

Fluency in English and Russian. Kazakh is an asset
