JOB PURPOSE
The overall objective of this position is to assist in implementation of the project activities in the target communities within the district in a well-organized manner. Documentation and record keeping of all field activities is also the primary responsibility of the incumbent.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
1. Gather information with clear direction to support the drafting of documents and preparing reports by other staff.
2. Take responsibility for the maintenance of set standard systems and files, to ensure information is accurate and readily available for the function.
3. Identify simple discrepancies in statistics and data, such as missing information, and report to senior staff for accurate information reporting.
4. Work and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
5. Work closely with Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and Community Organizations representatives (COs) and facilitate them in carrying out their community awareness sessions
6. Keep hard and soft records of all training activities at district level and in the target communities. Also track progress of CRPs and COs sessions against their pre-defined targets.
7. Assist the Project Associate in scheduling field activities, especially community awareness sessions to ensure timely completion of workplan activities
8. Perform other related duties as required by the supervisor.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES
Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Social Sciences, Public health, Nutrition, Business Administration and/or other relevant field. Knowledge of SBCC would be preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years- experience in implementing programme related activities
– Field work experience in social mobilization and capacity building/ awareness raising
– Experience in public health and nutrition related projects is preferable
– Experience working in surveys
– Experience working in Gwadar and/or Lasbela.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word and other.
Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
Languages:
Fluency in speaking and understanding of local languages, such as Balochi, Brahvi and Lasi is mandatory.
Good knowledge in both oral and written communication in English and Urdu.
